ABOUT

2005 – PRESENT

Director & Designer with specialized expertise in navigating the juncture of design and technology within the realm of digital experiences for physical spaces, encompassing corporate, retail,  museums, and entertainment.

I’m a Director and Designer with over a decade of experience, continuously striving to craft better digital experiences for clients such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Disney, Google, Twitter, Comcast, Naughty Dog, Red Bull, Airbnb, PepsiCo, Reuters, Samsung, Spotify, SK-II, Tom Ford as well as various museums and institutions. Collaborating with designers, animators, producers, and developers, I have been fortunate to win numerous awards such as the Red Dot Award, One Show, FWA, Webby, Awwwards Site of the Year, and Adobe Cutting Edge.

As Director, I lead and co-lead projects from concept to handoff, overseeing strategy, visitor/user experience, creative/art direction, design, motion, production, and delivery.

Raised in the Netherlands, I began my journey as a sponsored gamer, teaching myself Photoshop and HTML/CSS at a young age to promote my clan. Later, I expanded my skills to include Flash, After Effects, and Cinema 4D, driven by my interest in cinematic design and motion graphics for movie and gaming websites. This passion led to two internships at 247 Media Studios in Germany and Ignition Interactive in Los Angeles.

SHOWREEL 2011

After completing my education at the Royal Academy of Art in the Netherlands, Ignition Interactive offered me a full-time position, which I eagerly accepted, prompting my move to LA. While I loved the experience, I couldn't resist the opportunity when Firstborn reached out to apply similar visual and motion techniques for brands, which led me to New York. Here, I later joined Your Majesty and further explored my fascination with digital experiences for physical spaces. Seeking to expand my knowledge in this area, I eventually joined Rare Volume, focusing on corporate spaces, retail, museums and institutions.

SHOWREEL 2016

Currently serving as their Interactive Creative Director, I focus on creating (permanent) digital experiences for physical spaces, including data visualization, and systems design. Driven by my passion for bespoke design, motion, and technology, I firmly believe that form, function, and content together are greater than the sum of their parts. With this mindset, my expertise lies in leading digital projects from concept to handoff.
